New On-Field Video Emerges Showing Ohio State HC Ryan Day Standing Doing Nothing As Superstar Jack Sawyer Wanted To End Someone As Cameras Caught Him Screaming & Crying After Michigan Planted Their Flag At Midfield
Cameras caught a fired-up Jack Sawyer delivering a strong message after Saturday’s post-game fiasco with the Michigan Wolverines, as well as the bizarre reaction from head coach Ryan Day.
The Wolverines came into Ohio State and defeated Jack Sawyer’s second-ranked Buckeyes 13-10. The defending national champions improved their record to 7-5 while assuring that Ohio State drops considerably in the rankings.
After their stunning win, the Wolverines celebrated by planting their flag at midfield. That led to an all-out brawl between the two heated rivals for several minutes, and it got so bad to the point where police on the scene had to use pepper spray.
After the game, cameras caught an infuriated Jack Sawyer needing to be held back by a staffer as he screamed, “They’re not (expletive) planting their flag on our field again, bro,” he said.
And oddly, coach Day just looked on in the freezing cold, expressionless. (WARNING: VIDEO BELOW CONTAINS LANGUAGE THAT IS NSFW):
This hasn’t been an easy season for Michigan in year one of the post-Jim Harbaugh era, but a victory over the archrivals on their own field certainly has to feel good.
Jack Sawyer’s Frustrations Are Warranted
One of the unwritten rules in football is that you simply don’t taunt your opponent by celebrating on their logo post-game. Whether it’s “planting a flag”, dancing or another form of celebration, it’s considered the ultimate disrespectful move.
So Jack Sawyer had every right to be upset, and it didn’t help matters that the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes lost a crucial game at home that will see them drop in the standings. Their hopes of securing a first-round bye in the 12-team postseason took a significant hit, after all.
