Everyone is saying the same thing about legendary sports commentator Al Michaels while the Miami Dolphins are playing host to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football inside Hard Rock Stadium.

Much of what is being said is not good.

The broadcasting legend, who is in his third season on Amazon after previously serving as the longtime play-by-play man on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, is not winning over fans during play calls.

Much like in previous games, Al Michaels, is just not showing any enthusiasm on his calls.

His lack of enthusiasm was prevalent during Buffalo Bills running back James Cook’s first touchdown and when Tua tossed two first-quarter interceptions.

Fans wasted no time calling him out on social media:

Al Michaels Speaks On His Future With Thursday Night Football

Al Michaels turns 80 in November and shows no signs of stopping.

The play-by-play announcer for Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football will soon have a big question to answer because his contract expires after this season.

It is only fair to ponder about his future going forward.

Al Michaels talked with The New York Post this week about his future plans.

“The reality is, I’ve trained myself to live in the present. I have for a long period of time. I don’t like to go into the past. People love to hear stories about the old days — I’m bored with it,” Michaels told The Post.

“Down the line, I don’t know what’s going to happen. Nobody does. Right now, I feel great. I’m looking forward to the start of the season. I’ve made no decision in terms of what will happen in the future.”

Whether he retires after this season or in the future, Michaels’ place in sports broadcasting history is already secure, and he has nothing left to prove.
