Deshaun Watson Gets Viciously Called Out On Social Media By Recent Browns RB After Trying To Claim That His Teammates Respect Him Because Of His “Aura” & “Character”
One of Deshaun Watson’s former teammates called out the Cleveland Browns quarterback on Instagram following questionable comments made by the 28-year-old on Wednesday.
As reported by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio on Tuesday, Deshaun Watson has been sued by a woman (named “Jane Doe” in files) in Houston, Texas, who alleges that the Cleveland quarterback committee sexual assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In 2022, Watson settled 23 of 24 sexual misconduct civil suits against him. The former Houston Texans signal-caller was suspended for the first 11 games of the 2022 season (his first with the Browns).
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Deshaun Watson said his teammates “know my aura… know my energy…know my character.” Former Browns running back Jordan Wilkins, who was cut by the Browns ahead of the 2023 regular season, took issue with that.
Wilkins questioned Watson’s character and showed a play of the RB fumbling in a 2023 preseason game. Wilkins alleges that Watson went to the coaches after and threw him under the bus:
The NFL is currently investigating the latest lawsuit against Watson. The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 10, 2020, in Houston, while Watson was still the Texans’ quarterback.
The woman claims that Watson aggressively yelled at her over the phone while trying to find her apartment. After arriving, he allegedly stripped naked and asked her to give him a massage.
According to the lawsuit, Watson proceeded to sexually assault the woman. She managed to grab a piece of décor for self-defense and told Watson to leave, which he did. The woman hired attorney Tony Buzbee, who represented several of the women who reached settlements with Watson in 2022.
Deshaun Watson Is Becoming A Problem For The Browns
The legal matters are the main issue surrounding Watson right now. In football-related matterrs, he’s getting $230 million guaranteed from the Cleveland Browns to perform like a bottom-tier quarterback.
The trade looked like a disaster from the beginning, and it has predictably blown up in the team’s faces now. You have to wonder if GM Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski are considering releasing Watson and accepting their mistake.
