According to reports, the Cincinnati Bengals have banned reporters from filming players when they walk to the practice field. This stems from people online roasting the team for making players cross a busy street to get to practice.

Many jokes involved the Bengals not treating the players well enough to put them out of harm’s way when all they’re trying to do is get to the field. Of course, though, the only thing the internet roasted more than them crossing the street is this ban the Bengals set.

“Lollll, if true: good luck enforcing. These are people in a public space and can be filmed under protection of the Constitution,” one comment said.

“Hell no wonder they don’t have money to pay chase they don’t even have enough to build a new route to practice so there players dont have to cross a street to get to practice,” another said.

“its a public street how can they ban it,” a third added.

“It’s so then people can’t see Ja’Marr Chase not practicing,” a fourth continued.

There have certainly been some odd things that NFL teams want to keep out of the public eye, but it certainly seems that the Bengals are making way too big of a deal out of this.

Cincinnati Bengals Could Be Without Wide Receiver Tee Higgins Week 1

On Friday, wide receiver Tee Higgins was not spotted at the team walk-through because of hamstring issues. As of now, he’s currently listed as questionable on the Bengals depth chart.

This would be a huge blow for the offense as the team prepares to take on the New England Patriots at home in Week 1.

It’s even worse, considering there have even been reports that Ja’Marr Chase is considering not playing in the game, either.
