It’s awfully impressive that Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs are 9-1, considering the injuries to key offensive weapons like Marquise Brown, Rashee Rice and Isiah Pacheco.

Marquise Brown, who signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs in free agency, has yet to play for his new team as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery. In September, it was reported that he would likely miss the entire regular season, though a return in January for the postseason was a possibility.

The team is also without its top receiver, Rice, for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery. Pacheco, who’s been out since Week 3 with a fractured fibula, will likely return this Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

And judging by Marquise Brown’s social media activity, it appears that Pacheco isn’t the only reinforcement coming on offense. The star wideout dropped a massive hint about a potential return with this interesting X/Twitter post:

If Brown is indeed getting close to a return, that’s a terrifying thought for the rest of the NFL. Suddenly, an offense with Brown, Pacheco, Travis Kelce, DeAndre Hopkins and Xavier Worthy becomes that much tougher to stop.

The Chiefs’ bid for a perfect season ended with a 30-21 road loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, they’re still in the driver’s seat for the AFC’s top seed and lone first-round bye.

Marquise Brown’s Return Would Fuel Chiefs’ Three-Peat Bid

Brown hasn’t been able to stay healthy over the first six seasons of his NFL career, but his elite speed and ability to stretch the field make him a capable game-changer on any given day.

Marquise Brown had his best statistical season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2021, when he notched 91 receptions for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns. If he returns to Kansas City in time for the postseason, their odds of three-peating will have increased significantly.
