The NFL is one of the most dangerous leagues in the world, and therefore, many safety measures need to be taken to keep the players safe. According to one NFL fan, the league may want to consider getting rid of helmets.
The league has seen an insane amount of head injuries over the past few seasons. Namely, Tua Tagovailoa is more famous for his injuries than his play on the field, as he has had numerous concussions in his career.
At first glance, Tyler Webb’s report may look insane, but he does try to make a point using references from NFL stats and makes quite an intriguing argument. “The NFL could solve its biggest problem by getting rid of helmets,” Webb posted.
Webb pointed out that the league has taken many extra measures to “reduce the number of head injuries” using equipment such as Guardian Caps and New Kick-Off Rules and has even increased the fines for helmet-to-helmet contact.
