Tatted-up female Tren de Aragua gang member called ‘The Barbie’ is busted for running brutal sex-trafficking ring
This Barbie is a sex trafficker.
A heavily tattooed female Tren de Aragua gang member is accused of running a sex-trafficking operation out of a border town hotel that the gang took over, according to a leaked Border Patrol memo obtained by The Post.
At least one victim alleged that Estefania Primera — a Venezuelan illegal migrant who goes by the street name “La Barbie” — drugged her and brought men in to gang-rape her while she was unconscious, court documents said.
Primera was arrested in El Paso, Texas, on Sept. 27 after she was spotted with her five young kids, the memo said.
Authorities say she also uses her kids as drug mules to hold and sell her narcotics, per the memo.
“The Barbie” allegedly operated out of the local Gateway Hotel, which authorities in El Paso recently shut down following multiple complaints about lawlessness.
A sex-trafficking victim allegedly named Primera as the frontwoman running prostitutes who were trafficked into the US, the memo said.
One victim told cops that Primera drugged her multiple times with a pill containing fentanyl. The drugs caused her to pass out. When she came to, she found multiple men having sex with her, according to court docs.
The woman said she suffered horrific injuries from the gang rape.
When she tried to flee, “The Barbie” forced her back to the hotel. She also repeatedly punched and kicked the woman, the documents alleged.
Tren de Aragua members, who have largely made their way into the US via the El Paso border, have spread their criminal operations across the country, where they’ve engaged in gun smuggling, shootings, drug smuggling and sex trafficking.
The gang has been found running forced prostitution rings in eight US states — California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Texas — where they are on the hook for their border smuggling debts, according to an internal law enforcement memo previously obtained by The Post.
Primera was arrested Sept. 27 outside the Sacred Heart Church in El Paso, which serves newly arrived migrants. It’s also an area where The Post previously has identified migrants with Tren de Aragua’s signature gang tattoos.
Primera sports tattoos that cover her face and body, which she flaunts on her TikTok account “barbie underground official” while dancing seductively to Spanish music.
One local resident who asked not to be named out of fear of retribution told The Post the area is no longer safe due to TdA’s presence.
“Before, we would walk around feeling safe, where now we don’t feel safe,” said the resident, who described seeing an uptick in thefts in the area.
“We don’t attend Mass in our neighborhood church because we don’t feel safe. Our peace and tranquility has been taken away.”
Primera crossed the border illegally with family members near El Paso in August 2023, and was quickly released into the US, Homeland Security sources told The Post.
