Rashee Rice’s Crash Victims Break Their Silence, Release Strange Response About The Chiefs WR’s Serious Knee Injury At They Prepare To Take Him To Court
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is facing doubts about the remainder of his season.
Despite his bad luck on the field, he is still facing a civil lawsuit from two victims of a multi-vehicle crash on Central Expressway in Dallas earlier this year.
Husband and wife Edvard Petrovskiy and Irina Gromova were driving their SUV on the highway when they were caught up in a chain of high-speed collisions.
Back in April, Edvard Petrovskiy and Irina Gromova said in court documents that the crash that Rashee Rice started made them suffer brain trauma, lacerations to their face, bruises on their bodies, as well as internal bleeding.
Both asked for no less than $10 million in punitive damages, however, there appears to be no disposition to the suit in sight since the trial will not begin until June 2025.
Following a possibly devastating injury to Rashee Rice last week, Sanjay S. Mathur, the attorney representing the plaintiffs, said in a statement to TMZ Sports that they are hopeful a resolution can come now that the standout wideout knows what it is like to have his life uprooted by an injury.
“We are saddened to hear about Rashee Rice’s injury on the football field and hope for his quick recovery,” Mathur said. “We recognize that injuries can significantly impact one’s life, causing both physical pain and mental distress. They disrupt routines, hobbies, daily chores, and activities. Injuries often lead to medical procedures and bills, and they can hinder one’s ability to earn a living.”
“We are struck by the fact that Rice was injured at a time when the plaintiffs in our case against him are seeking justice for their own injuries,” Mathur continued. “We hope that these recent developments will foster empathy, a resolve to seek resolution, and, most importantly, an acceptance of responsibility toward the injured parties in our case.”
The Chiefs have placed Rashee Rice on injured reserve, ruling the receiver out for at least four games.
He had 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is feeling serious guilt after delivering a tough blow to his teammate.
The Kansas City Chiefs will wait on the MRI results, but they have a fear that star receiver Rashee Rice could be done for the season.
Patrick Mahomes was blunt about how he felt once he realized he accidentally injured his own teammate.
“When I saw the replay, I felt like s— that I hit Rashee,” Mahomes told reporters on Thursday. “I mean, I wasn’t worried about myself. I was worried about, hopefully, his injury, and hopefully it wasn’t as bad as it looked because I was the one that hit him.”
Rice was drafted by the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft and helped Kansas City win the Super Bowl this past February.
The good times ended the next month when Rice was arrested on eight felony charges related to a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas, Texas.
