Miami Dolphins Superstar Calais Campbell Reveals Why He Was Also In Handcuffs After Tyreek Hill Was Detained By Police During Wild Scene On Sunday
Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell has disclosed the reason he was placed in handcuffs and detained along with teammate Tyreek Hill on Sunday morning.
Hill made headlines ahead of Miami’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as he endured some rough treatment at the hands of officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department. The wide receiver showed up in multiple recordings wearing handcuffs, with some showing him lying on the ground.
Campbell, as it turns out, was also handcuffed. But both players were eventually released and were able to play against the Jags later in the day.
“Dolphins DL Calais Campbell just told me he was detained in handcuffs by police this morning trying to deescalate the Tyreek Hill matter,” NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported after Miami’s 20-17 win. “He says never in his 17-year career or life has he had anything like that happen.”
