Travis Kelce embraces being Taylor Swift’s ‘arm candy’: ‘It’s the life I chose’

Travis Kelce recognizes that his romance with Taylor Swift has catapulted him into another level of fame — and being “arm candy” for the pop star “doesn’t bother him.”

“It’s the life I chose, I guess. I have fun with it,” the Kanas City Chiefs tight end, 34, said with a laugh on “CBS Mornings” Thursday while promoting his new Pepsi ad with Megan Thee Stallion, which is a remake of Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Pink and Enrique Iglesias’ iconic 2004 commercial.

Kelce acknowledged that being in the spotlight is a trade-off to “wanting to do fun activities” like “signing up for big sponsorships” and endorsements.

Although the NFL star has had a very impressive career all on his own, including winning three Super Bowlshosting “Saturday Night Live” and now making his acting debut, he admitted very early on in his relationship that Swift, also 34, “put him on the map” for many people around the world.

Kelce was also asked on “CBS Mornings” how his family is handling his newfound fame, to which he responded, “Everybody’s loving it.”

Mama [Donna] Kelce — she’s having so much fun,” the pro athlete said. “I think my dad [Ed] is slowly getting more comfortable with it, and [my brother] Jason has always been a pro at it.”

Although Travis has a very positive attitude about it all, Jason, 36, previously gave a different perspective on some of the hardships that have come his family’s way.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles center shared on Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast in February that his younger brother had to move out of his house amid his romance with Swift.

“People were just staying by his house,” Jason said on “The Big Podcast with Shaq” at the time.

“And the first day he moved into the new house … [in] a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house.”

However, Travis’ loved ones have always given him credit for being able to handle the pressures of fame.

In November 2023, Donna, 71, said her son was “embracing” the limelight “as much” as he can, recognizing that the football star “likes attention.”
