The NFL is known for being one of, if not the most profitable, businesses globally. On average, the NFL brings in $18.6 billion a year in revenue, so it would make sense that its talents are paid well for their efforts. This includes NFL players like Patrick Mahomes and even reporters like Erin Andrews.

However, while fans may expect players to be paid more than the people who interview them, that certainly isn’t the case in Andrews’ case. She is reportedly being paid more than some notable and talented NFL players.

Who are the talented players? The San Francisco 49ers star quarterback earns a base salary of roughly $1 million, while Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achene is set to make just over $1.3 million in 2024, both less than Andrews’ $2 million base salary.

While Purdy is set to make just $1 million as a base salary, the San Fran quarterback will likely earn a lot more in incentives and possibly even sponsorships as his play improves. He starts in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and Achene will most likely do the same for Mike McDaniel and company.

Andrews is also pretty much guaranteed to make more than her base salary, as she may also receive some sponsorship deals and additional earnings from her podcast Calm Down, which will also net her some sponsors.

Andrews is set to start another year of sideline reporting with FOX in 2024, even after the departures of co-workers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman and the entrance of Tom Brady, citing, “My deal was up in August. Fox came to me pretty much right away and just said, ‘We wanna keep you here.’ At that point, I was unaware of who I was gonna be doing the games with.”

The Dolphins, with Tua Tagovailoa at the helm, will debut on Thursday, while the 49ers will debut on Sunday. Andrews will also debut on Thursday as the Chiefs square off against the Ravens at Arrowhead.
