Jrue Holiday Explains Why Winning An NBA Championship Was More Rewarding Than An Olympic Gold Medal With Team USA
Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum, and Derrick White were in high spirits as they kicked off their Paris Olympics journey. Fresh off their first NBA title victory with the Boston Celtics, where they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 4-1, the trio entered the Olympics with confidence.
In Paris, Holiday, Tatum, and White once again tasted victory, securing gold for Team USA. However, despite the thrill of winning on the international stage, Holiday felt that the celebration of their NBA Championship with the Celtics was truly unmatched.
The 34-year-old was asked about his feelings about both feelings during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Raising Cane location. The Celtics star was candid about his feelings.
“Winning in Paris was cool. obviously against France, so it was like us vs. the world,” he said.
