Travis Kelce jokes about his ‘fun’ style versus ‘Neanderthal’ brother Jason who ‘doesn’t really care’

Travis Kelce told “Good Morning America” that he loves to experiment with fashion while his brother, Jason, “doesn’t really care” about style.

It’s time for a Kelce fashion faceoff.

Travis Kelce chatted with “Good Morning America” about his life after winning Super Bowl 2024, and along with opening up about his relationship with Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs star shared some hilarious insights on his famously casual brother, Jason Kelce’s, style.

The 34-year-old NFL star told ABC News’ Will Reeve that the two couldn’t be more different when it comes to fashion, describing the retired Philadelphia Eagles player as “the Neanderthal that wears flip flops in the winter and doesn’t really care what he looks like.”

Jason Kelce is known for his laid-back looks.

Travis opened up to “Good Morning America” about his post-season life.

The brothers share a close bond.

The Philadelphia Eagles fave kept it casual at the premiere of the “Kelce” documentary.

Travis — who chose a budget-friendly $40 ASOS Design shirt for his interview — continued, “I like to, you know, throw on fashionable stuff and have fun. Be a little bit more outspoken.”

“If you looked at us on two different teams you really didn’t even think that we were brothers,” he said of his 36-year-old big brother, adding, “We just had the same last name.”

Indeed, Jason has become known for his love of a trusty flip-flop (he favors the $130 Olukai Mea Ola Sandals), arriving at Eagles games and other events in looks like jeans, tees and sweatpants while his younger brother often rocks wild patterns and high-end designer gear.

The father of two even showed up to his retirement speech in a tank top, later explaining on the brother’s “New Heights” podcast that a suit and tie “wouldn’t feel right.”

Jason rocked Chiefs colors as he congratulated his brother for winning the AFC Championship in January.

Travis rocked a patterned Louis Vuitton look while arriving to a Chiefs game last autumn.

While Jason might have carried a Louis Vuitton duffel when touching down in Phoenix for the 2023 Super Bowl, he stayed on-brand with the rest of his look.

Meanwhile, Travis isn’t the only Kelce to poke fun at his brother’s wardrobe; the newly retired NFL star recently replied to a post on X (formerly Twitter) making fun of the Chiefs player’s shredded Heron Preston jeans.

“What the f–k did taylor cats do with his jeans” the social media user wrote, causing Jason to reply, “Now that’s funny!”

And mom Donna Kelce called her younger son a “fashionista” who dresses “to make people laugh or to talk.”

“And he loves being at the center of attention, which we all know that,” she told Martha Stewart on an episode of the latter’s podcast earlier this year.

However, just because they share a different sense of style doesn’t mean they don’t share a tight bond, with Travis sharing on “Good Morning America” that “through the podcast we’ve been able to show everybody just how close we are as brothers.”
