CeeDee Lamb could make an NFL GM very happy this year should the Dallas Cowboys fail to come to terms over an extension.

Several teams are monitoring the situation between the wide receiver and the NFC side as he continues his holdout, and there will be quite a frenzy heading into next season if it all boils down to him demanding a trade.

Lamb has one year left to run on his rookie deal with the Cowboys; his fifth-year option will pay him $17.9 million. But, in a year in which the likes of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Justin Jefferson have signed mouthwatering contracts, the aforementioned figure will no longer fly.

A trio of surprising teams have emerged as favorites to acquire the star wideout, with longtime oddsmaker Adam Thompson of Bookies.com releasing odds on CeeDee Lamb’s next team (H/T Heavy.com).

The Washington Commanders, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Jets make up the top three, but the Jets seem the most interesting, given their now-loaded roster led by the enigmatic Aaron Rodgers.

The Jets likely rue passing up on Lamb in the 2020 NFL Draft as they had the No. 11 pick but selected offensive tackle Mekhi Becton, allowing the Cowboys to swoop for the WR at No. 17.

They may yet have an opportunity to redeem themselves now that the player is holding out and could possibly leave Dallas.
