Simone Biles shines in leotard set with over 5,000 crystals for Olympics 2024 balance beam final
Team USA continues to shine.
While Simone Biles might not have won a medal at the 2024 Olympics balance beam final on Monday, her outfit for the competition was definitely award-worthy.
For her beam routine, the 27-year-old athlete selected the aptly named American Anthem Leotard from GK Elite, which is embellished with over 5,000 Swarovski crystals.
On Instagram, GK Elite’s custom gymnastics designer, Emily Oropollo, said the ombré leo’s sparkling scroll design was inspired by “the unique and feminine feel of the Art Nouveau.”
An American flag studded with 386 red, white and blue crystals adorns the right hip.
While Biles was chosen to debut the design on the beam, she later switched things up for her floor routine, donning the same USA Elegance Leotard Suni Lee wore for the Women’s All-Around Final — which is similarly embellished with over 5,000 crystals.
Lee, 21, wore a bright white GK Elite leotard decorated with pearls for her beam routine, while 23-year-old Jordan Chiles took home the bronze for her floor exercise in the same design.
Altogether, the 2024 US gymnastics team had eight different styles available to wear, including the Luminous Legacy Leotard — which featured a whopping 10,000 crystals — and the red, white and blue USA Elegance Leotard, which was bedazzled with over 5,000 Swarovski stones.
