Lala Kent celebrates her baby shower in the same dress she once roasted Ariana Madix for wearing
She’s giving them tutu.
Lala Kent celebrated her baby shower with friends and family over the weekend, and while her pretty pastel dress was a fitting choice for the party, several fans pointed out the irony in her look.
It turns out the pregnant “Vanderpump Rules” star, 33, wore a rainbow sherbet-hued version of the same Selkie Puff dress ($295) that she made fun of Ariana Madix for wearing in 2021.
Madix sported a blue version ($295) of the bubble-hem frock to Raquel Leviss’ engagement party, with Kent bashing her co-star’s dress in the episode and saying, “Do I look like a bitch that has puffy sleeves and a f—king tutu in my closet?”
Apparently she changed her mind on the colorful look, wearing a different shade of the creation with pointy Amina Muaddi heels as she attended her “baby monsoon.”
“It’s usually a Baby Sprinkle for your second. But I never had a Baby Shower. So a Baby Monsoon seemed to be the only option ☔️ & it was perfect,” Kent captioned a carousel of Instagram photos on Monday.
One TikTok creator shared a video pointing out the hilarity in the TV personality’s outfit choice (and providing receipts from the episode), with plenty of fans weighing in on the once-dissed dress.
“Lauren forgets we have the internet 😂” one TikTok user wrote, while another commenter added, “Omg I just saw this episode today and I was like WELL THIS DIDNT AGE WELL.”
“Isn’t this the dress [she] made fun of Ari for?” one fan commented on Kent’s post from the shower, with another Instagram user weighing in, “So you do own puffy sleeves and a tutu, interesting 🧐.”
The ironic choices didn’t end with Kent’s dress, as her ex-fiancé Randell Emmett’s ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, attended the baby bash and wrote that she “can’t wait to hold [the] little angel” on her Instagram Story.
Also in attendance at the “monsoon” were several of the Give Them Lala Beauty founder’s “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars, including Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder and James Kennedy’s girlfriend, Ally Lewber.
Kent — who shares 3-year-old daughter Ocean with her ex, Emmett — announced she was pregnant in March and expecting her second daughter via sperm donor.
Perhaps mom and daughters can match in some puffy dresses one day.
