A fan has apologized to Kylie Kelce, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, over a viral drunk altercation.
A woman went viral for berating Kylie for not taking a photo with her at Steve & Cookies Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Margate over Memorial Day weekend.
“In a heated moment, I said things that were out of character for me and that I regret, and for that, I am sorry,” Andrée Goldberg said through her publicist in a statement to Fox29. “Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community. My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.”
In the viral video, the girl is heard yelling at Kylie “You’ll never be allowed in this town again” as she was walking into a restaurant with Jason. After Kylie declined to take the photo, she was heard telling the woman that she was embarrassing herself. As well as the woman apologizing to Kylie, Margate Mayor Michael Collins apologized to the Kelces for the incident and offered to pay for dinner on their next date.
“On behalf of the city of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in our city,” Collins said. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife.”
The Kelce family has yet to respond to the apology or the mayor’s offer to pay for their next dinner.
“You fell asleep 45 minutes after I got there on the bar table because he was too drunk,” Kylie said, via Today.
“Not a good first date,” Jason Kelce replied. Still, he knew what was in front of him: “(I) got a little bit too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. It was love at first sight,” he said.
Jason and Kylie got married in 2018 and have three kids together.
