RNC Chair Says Dems Have ‘Learned Nothing’ From 2024 Shellacking

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair and North Carolina Senate candidate Michael Whatley stated on Friday morning that Democrats have “learned absolutely nothing” from their considerable defeats in the 2024 election cycle.

“The Democrats have, in fact, learned absolutely nothing since 2024. They have doubled down on the same unsuccessful agenda that they previously pursued,” Whatley remarked to Fox Business. “Currently, they represent a party characterized by open borders, inflationary spending, and a weakened America.”

“Each of their leaders has shifted to the left, distancing the party from Main Street America,” he further emphasized, as reported by The Hill.

During President Trump’s second term, the Democratic Party is facing challenges in reestablishing its position amid falling poll numbers and attempts to counter the president’s agenda while holding a minority status in both the House and Senate.

A mid-July Quinnipiac University national poll revealed that only 19 percent of Americans approved of the performance of congressional Democrats, while 72 percent disapproved. An additional 10 percent expressed no opinion.

Among Democrats, merely 39 percent approved of their party’s performance in Congress, while 52 percent disapproved and 9 percent had no opinion, according to the poll.

Whatley, who entered the open race for the North Carolina Senate seat in late July, asserted that Republicans are “faring great” because Trump and GOP lawmakers in both chambers are “delivering every day for Republicans — for all voters, indeed, across the nation.”

“At this moment, we are witnessing economic growth, the border has been secured, and America is once again respected globally,” the RNC chair stated.

“President Trump is fulfilling every one of his campaign promises, and the Republican leadership in the House and Senate is ensuring that we secure the votes necessary to implement the Trump tax cuts and provide robust support for our soldiers and veterans, as well as securing the southern border.

Last weekend, a surge of bodybuilding-themed videos emerged on social media as Democrats attempt to rebrand themselves as vigorous and robust in anticipation of the 2026 midterm elections.

Among the most mocked was California Congressman Eric Swalwell, who posted a video of himself bench pressing a relatively light weight while accusing Republicans of shielding President Donald Trump.

In the video, Swalwell states, “I should be working right now. I should be at the Capitol. I should be in a suit.”

He continues, “Instead, Republicans sent us home because they would rather support Donald Trump than disclose the Epstein files and advocate for victims.”

The video swiftly attracted criticism.

“I simply wish for Eric Swalwell to lift more than 135 pounds and for Democrats to cease their dishonesty. Congress consistently adjourns in August, regardless of who holds power. Furthermore, yes, it is imperative to release the Epstein files; however, Democrats should stop feigning concern as if they have suddenly developed an interest, given that they showed no concern for Epstein during their last four years in power!” stated Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“If I were an adult male capable of bench pressing only 135 pounds, you would never witness it on video unless it was captured without my knowledge, and even in that case, I would never acknowledge that it was me,” stated conservative commentator Matt Walsh.
