Chiefs Kingdom is expanding!

Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid and his girlfriend Marissa Rand welcomed their first baby together on Jan. 22, just weeks ahead of the defending Super Bowl-winning team’s return to the Big Game in New Orleans on Feb. 9.

“It was a busy weekend for me,” the NFL athlete said during a Chiefs press conference on Jan. 22. “I had my baby girl which was the highlight, even better than the divisional win!” he said about the Chiefs victory against the Houston Texans on Jan. 18.

“I got to go to the birth center, I saw her being born and didn’t feel anything except love and so much happiness holding her,” Reid added, smiling at the podium.

Reid and the Chiefs went on to beat the Buffalo Bills at the AFC Championship game on Jan. 26, securing their spot in the 2025 Super Bowl, where they will go head-to-head against the Philadelphia Eagles in an attempt to be the first team to “three-peat” in NFL history.

The couple shared news of their pregnancy during the Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7 in a clever way, which was a recreation of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker‘s iconic pregnancy announcement at his Blink-182 concert in 2023.

Pictured was the then-expecting mom standing on the sidelines in a bodycon black jumpsuit holding up a sign that read “Justin I’m pregnant,” seen in a joint Instagram post they uploaded the day after the game. Reid could be seen looking over at his girlfriend from the field.

“I heard Super Bowl babies are God’s favorite ;)” Rand joked in the caption.

Reid and Rand have been together since September 2022. Rand often posts with Reid, whose games she frequently attends.

After his Super Bowl win in 2023, she wished him a happy birthday with a sweet post of the two kissing on the field. “Happy birthday to my WORLD CHAMPION! I’m so proud of you ❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote at the time.
