The Buffalo Bills have signed seven players to futures contracts, including second-generation running back Frank Gore Jr.

After a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, the Bills announced that they’ve signed Frank Gore Jr., KJ Hamler, Daequan Hardy, Richard Gouraige, Zion Logue, Te’Cory Couch and Mike Edwards to futures contracts.

Gore Jr. is the sign of former NFL star running back Frank Gore, who played in the NFL from 2005 to 2020. The elder Gore is third all-time in career rushing yards with 16,000, trailing only Emmitt Smith (18,355) and Walter Payton (16,726).

Gore played a season for the Bills in 2019, rushing for 599 yards and two touchdowns. Buffalo reached the postseason for just the second time in the 21st century, losing to the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round.

In his final NCAA season, Gore Jr. rushed for 1,131 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding three receiving touchdowns.

Frank Gore Jr. Gets Another Chance With Bills

Gore Jr. signed with the Buffalo Bills after going unselected in the 2024 NFL Draft. He was let go by the team in August ahead of Week 1, though GM Brandon Beane subsequently signed Gore Jr. back to the practice squad.

Gore Jr. didn’t play a single snap for the Bills in the regular season. We’ll see if he ends up making the final 53-man roster in 2025.
