Ravens TE Mark Andrews Finally Breaks After Costly Mistake In Playoff Loss To Bills
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews has finally broken his silence following his costly drop against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
Andrews had a poor outing against Buffalo in the Divisional-Round clash, notably getting a ball punched for a fumble after obtaining significant yardage. But the real damage came after he dropped a pass from Lamar Jackson on a two-point conversion attempt late in the fourth quarter.
Had he held on, the Ravens would have likely gone to overtime. But the drop wiped away any chance of winning the game.
Andrews did not speak to the media after the loss, but his coach, John Harbaugh, and his teammates defended him in front of reporters.
Harbaugh claimed that there’s no one who works harder or cares more than Andrews, insisting that the Ravens wouldn’t have made it as far without him. Jackson took responsibility for the loss, having made some key turnovers himself.
Mark Andrews Makes Lengthy, Emotional Post
The TE has since broken his silence, taking to Instagram with an emotional post in which he admitted he was “gutted” by the way things unfolded.
“That is why it’s taken me until now to collect my thoughts and address this publicly,” he confessed.

Mark Andrews has been harshly criticized for not speaking to reporters after Sunday’s heartbreaking loss, but he has also received plenty of support.
The Ravens star has reportedly faced death threats from Baltimore fans over the drop. However, Bills fans have made quite the gesture toward him, coming together to raise thousands of dollars for a charity he runs to help juveniles who suffer from diabetes.
