REPORT: Two Big-Name Programs Emerge As Front-Runners To Snag Quinn Ewers If He Decides To Transfer From Texas Longhorns
Quinn Ewers will have many questions to answer as he prepares to potentially play in his final game for the Texas Longhorns, who are preparing for a College Football Playoff quarterfinals game against No. 4 seed Arizona State.
Ewers has led the Texas Longhorns to the quarterfinals of the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff in what many expect to be his last season with the program.
Although Ewers is coach Steve Sarkisian’s guy going forward in the postseason, backup Arch Manning is expected to be the man going forward in 2025.
That leaves Ewers on the outside looking in.
A report suggested that the Texas Longhorns quarterback is debating returning to college football instead of pursuing the NFL because “many NFL scouts reportedly believe Ewers could ‘benefit’ from another year in college.”
Now, two programs are gaining steam that could come out of nowhere to bring Quinn Ewers in for the 2025 season.
The first program is the Oregon Ducks.
The Ducks, the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, have been led by transfer quarterbacks in Dillon Gabriel, Bo Nix and Anthony Brown the last four seasons.
Ewers does have one more year of college eligibility remaining.
Former NFL star Dez Bryant got the ball rolling when he stated Ewers should head to Eugene.
