Travis Kelce hints at NFL retirement after playing ‘last’ game in Cleveland hometown

Is Travis Kelce going to hang up his cleats for good?

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end hinted at retiring from the NFL by saying he played his “last” game in his hometown of Cleveland when his team took on the Browns this past Sunday.

“I just love that city, man. It was so fun,” Kelce, 35, told his brother, Jason Kelce, in Wednesday’s episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

“When we flew in, I felt like a tour guide. I was telling everybody every single city that we were going past, every monument, every building.”

Travis said he has “an appreciation” for how he and Jason, 37, grew up in Cleveland and “the fun” that they had.

“It’s so crazy to drive to the stadium [Huntington Bank Field]. I had crazy flashbacks of going to — you know, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is right there on the same block, as well as the Science Center,” he shared.

“Silly memories … were going in and out of my mind. And it felt so surreal. I don’t know if it’s the last time I’ll ever play in Cleveland, but it kinda felt like I was just giving it one last hurrah before I’m done because I’ve only played there twice in 12 years.”

Travis said he does not see himself playing in his hometown again unless the Chiefs “get thrown down there” in the next couple of years.

“It was just a special day for me, personally, man,” he said.

Though the three-time Super Bowl champ’s family and childhood friends were in the stands, his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, continued her tradition of skipping her beau’s away games.

Days before his game, the couple — who went public with their romance in September 2023 — privately celebrated the “Bad Blood” singer’s 35th birthday.

Page Six exclusively reported that Travis spared no expense for Swift’s special day on Dec. 13.
