The Houston Rockets fell flat before the Oklahoma City Thunders during the latest matchup. But Cason Wallace and Alperen Sengun were not having it. The OKC blew out the Rockets and ended up winning 111-96 against one of the best defensive lineups. What went afterward was a viewer’s dream.

During the game’s deciding moments, the frustrated Rockets’ Sengun shoved Wallace from behind. The moment turned into a scuffle only in a split second. Wallace didn’t think twice and pushed him back instantly. Even after the game concluded in his team’s favor, the Texas-born guard remained untethered in his stance.

With this win, the Thunder have earned a ticket to the NBA Cup final. Key contributions from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Jalen Williams contributed to the victory, which was slid in with collective teamwork. SGA led the team with 32 points, 20 of which came during the second half. He also received support from Hartenstein and Williams, who scored 21 and 20 points, respectively.

Despite the Rockets starting strong and holding a narrow 42-41 lead at halftime, their performance waned in the second half. While Shai converted 14 out of 15 attempts at the free-throw line, they continued struggling with their shooting.

Cason Wallace Got Full Support From Teammate Isiah Hartenstein

In the wake of the Thunder’s victory over, Isaiah Hartenstein took a moment to hype up his teammate Cason Wallace. Even after the altercation was resulted in a technical foul, the OKC lads stood together.

“I loved it, I loved it. My son getting into it. I already got his fine so that’s all good. That’s been Caso(Cason Wallace) all year. He probably not been talked about enough, the things he’s doing on both ends,” Hartenstein said.

However, he did not stop there and continued hyping his other teammates for their performance.

“You got three of the best on-ball defenders in the league, so maybe sometimes it kind of goes under the rug how good he’s been playing. I think the more we get those TV games, the more people can see how good he is. I think his name will keep getting out there,” Harteinstein added.

Luguentz Dort also added to the narrative with his remarks on maintaining focus and respect for the game. The unity among the Thunder players was on full display as they rallied to support Wallace.
