The Los Angeles Dodgers have kept silent about Teoscar Hernandez’s free agency. Despite having an excellent season and helping them win the World Series, the Dodgers have not given him an offer. The franchise has signed Blake Snell and extended their contract with Tommy Edman, but nothing positive on Hernandez.

Hernandez declined the qualifying offer he received from the Dodgers. It’s clear that he wants a better contract, but he also mentioned that he’s keen on remaining in Los Angeles. The market value for Hernandez is expected to be below $100 million.

The Dodgers could make a push to add Teoscar Hernandez, but their existing deferred payments may hold them back. The franchise owes Shohei Ohtani and Edman a significant amount of money. While things might seem good right now, this could affect the team in the long run, or perhaps not.

As many believe, the team would probably have deferred money with Hernandez as well. Moreover, Hernandez is not looking to have any deferred money with the team. That said, the doors have opened for an AL East rival as a top destination.

Teoscar Hernandez Garners Huge Interest From The Bronx Bombers

The New York Yankees have been aggressively signing players after letting go of Juan Soto. The Yanks need some extra bats to make up for Soto. Teoscar Hernandez might not be a replacement for Soto, yet he can play a crucial role alongside other Yankee stars.

It’s safe to say that the Dodgers would not have made it to the World Series without Hernandez.  The All-Star smashed 33 home runs and helped them win in several crucial games. The Yankees have made some important trades, including acquiring Devin Williams in a blockbuster deal.

Adding Hernandez to their squad is pretty easy for the team. However, they are weighing their options well and looking into other opportunities. The Yanks are linked to Cody Bellinger and have made progress with Alex Bregman.

Brian Cashman and his team will play it well and pick the right slugger with all the available options. The Yanks have a good chance to sign Hernandez if they present him with the right offer.
