Moss shared that he underwent surgery to have a stent put in his liver because his waste was pouring into his urine. Doctors then discovered that he indeed had cancer.
“They found it in the bowel duct, right in-between the pancreas and the liver,” the former New England Patriots wide receiver said.
“So my doctors … they went in, I had a six-hour surgery. Dr. Martini, you’re the man, I had a Whipple procedure. I am forever grateful.
According to the Mayo Clinic , a Whipple procedure is an operation to treat tumors and other conditions in the pancreas, small intestine and bile ducts, which requires that the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine, the gallbladder and the bile duct be removed.

Moss recognized these have been “trying times” for him but he was grateful he “made it through.”
The host also addressed his absence from “Sunday NFL Countdown,” which he took a break from earlier this month. The Hall of Famer did not previously share what he was battling but just asked for prayers .
He added via Instagram at the time, “I’m battling something, man, and it’s something internal. Your boy is going to get through it. I got a great team of doctors and got a great family around me. All you men, do your checkups and get your bloodwork done.”
On Friday, Moss guaranteed his return to his show, saying, “I promise you guys I will be back on set. I miss you guys and hopefully I can get with you guys soon.”
