VIDEO: Joe Burrow Breaks Down In Front Of Reporters While Speaking For First Time About Burglary & Invasion Of Privacy During Emotional Press Conference
Joe Burrow was visibly upset while addressing the burglary at his house when speaking to reporters on Wednesday.
The Bengals quarterback expressed extreme disappointment in having his privacy violated “in more ways than one” before even taking on any questions, as he let reporters know that the information on the burglary was already more public than he would have liked and he wouldn’t be saying anything further on it.
Burrow noted that keeping a low profile has been difficult given the nature of his job, and he’s having trouble adjusting. While he admitted that a lack of privacy comes with the territory, he pointed out that it doesn’t make dealing with invasions any easier.
The QB seemed like he was struggling to maintain his composure while speaking about the incident. Of course, the break-in alone would have been enough to rattle him, but he’s also had to deal with the fact that everyone now knows SI Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton was at his place at the time.
You can see his statement to the media in the video below:
Joe Burrow Is The Latest Star Athlete To Have His House Broken Into
Joe Burrow’s Ohio residence was broken into while he was playing the Cowboys in Dallas on Monday night.
He is the latest NFL star to experience such this season, with the invasion of his property coming weeks after both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their houses burglarized.
Meanwhile, the NFL has sent a memo to players relaying intel pertaining to organized crime groups targeting athletes’ homes on game days. According to radio traffic, there was a security officer detailed to the QB’s place on the night of the burglary; clearly, that wasn’t enough to detail the burglar(s).
