The Golden State Warriors are in 5th place in the Western Conference standings, with 14 wins and nine losses. To enhance their chances of winning a championship, the team seeks to acquire experienced players who can support their star player, Stephen Curry.

Recently, Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler has shown interest in three teams, including the Warriors. However, the Warriors are proactively exploring trade options for one of the three available NBA veterans.

As Shams Charania from ESPN reported, the Warriors are specifically aiming to acquire the veteran trio from the Brooklyn Nets: Cameron Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, and guard Dennis Schroder.

“The Warriors are among the teams that have expressed interest in those three players, sources said. Schroder, 31, is having a standout season on a $13 million salary, averaging 18.6 points and 6.5 assists.” Charania wrote in his recent reports.

Brian Windhorst: Warriors to Keep A Close Eye On James’ Trade Intentions

Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins recently reported that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James may seek a trade shortly. Additionally, NBA analyst Brian Windhorst suggests that the Warriors will likely monitor James’ situation closely should he express any desire to request a trade.

“The Warriors have dreamed of pairing LeBron with Steph Curry and Draymond Green since last year. They’ve made an inquiry and it got shut down last February. That was before LeBron played with Steve Kerr and Steph Curry and won the gold medal over the summer. So, they will definitely monitor the situation, and I don’t think they do anything without knowing this door is locked. Windhorst said on Wednesday’s episode of Get Up on ESPN.

NBA fans have enjoyed watching James and Curry play together for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
