Last Thursday night, former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones read an emotionally charged statement that was basically perceived as his goodbye to the franchise after he was benched and demoted.

ESPN anchor Elle Duncan decided to give her two cents about it, which led to her mocking him.

She changed the entire format of her segment to mock and belittle Jones and appeared to enjoy every moment of it.

“We normally reserve ‘Taking the Elle’ for Fridays, but Giants quarterback Daniel Jones just did something so inexplicable that we made an exception,” Duncan said. “After being benched this week, Jones took to the podium to say goodbye to the franchise and fans but with, like, seven games left in the season.

“I’m sorry, you have to write this down? Didn’t you go to Duke?”

“Do you guys think he had this saved in his notes since, like, 2020?” she continued. “In all seriousness, DJ, I could have saved you like 90 seconds. A re-write: ‘Sorry you paid me $180 million for one playoff win. And I look forward to reviving my career as Brock Purdy’s backup.’ The end.”

Her words to major backlash from fans of not only the Giants but other teams as well.

Instead of apologizing for what she said about Daniel Jones, Duncan took it a step further when she took to her X account and mocked the ‘snowflakes’ crying in her mentions.

Stephen A. Smith Puts The Giants On Blast For Calling ESPN Over Elle Duncan Mocking Daniel Jones

During Friday’s episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith ripped the New York Giants to pieces for allegedly reaching out to ESPN executives to complain about Elle Duncan mocking Daniel Jones.

“The New York Giants, respectfully, shut the hell up,” Smith said Friday. “Y’all are awful as an organization. You won a Super Bowl in 2007, you won a Super Bowl in 2011, outside of that, since 2011, that’s 13 years, the Giants have made the playoffs twice. They’ve won one playoff game.

The New York Post revealed that the Giants never called.

Jared Schwartz wrote Saturday that “nobody on the team actually” reached out to ESPN to complain about what Duncan said about Daniel Jones.

The Giants would ultimately grant the release of Jones after he asked for it on Friday.
