James, on Friday night, spoke with reporters about why he posted on X his support for Vice President Harris, saying: “I see where our country should be, I feel like that endorsement is only right.”
Hill, the former ESPN reporter who now writes for The Atlantic, quoted a video of James’ interview and lauded him for talking about his social media post while criticizing Bosa for his relative quiet for his postgame headgear.
“Oh look, LeBron was asked about a public political statement that he made and he explained IN DETAIL why he did it,” she wrote Friday night. “Nick Bosa doesn’t have the guts to do this.”
After the 49ers’ win on Sunday, NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark interviewed a trio of San Francisco players when Bosa crashed the party while pointing to and wearing a MAGA hat, one that is generally donned by supporters of former president Donald Trump.
After the game, Bosa, wearing a different hat in his postgame press conference, was asked about the hat but didn’t elaborate much on his decision to wear his white and gold MAGA hat.
“I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” Bosa said.
