Kamala Harris says she’s ‘very honored’ to have Taylor Swift’s endorsement
Vice President Kamala Harris said she’s “honored” and “grateful” for the artists who have endorsed her campaign — including superstar Taylor Swift.
Radio host Stephanie Himonidis asked Harris how she felt about the support she’s received from various artists like Eva Longoria, George Lopez and Swift.
“I’m so very grateful to all the artists who have understood the stakes of the election and have endorsed my candidacy,” Harris, 59, said during the “Chiquibaby” interview published Tuesday.
“I’m very honored to have their support and I’m thankful for them raising their voice,” the vice president added.

Swift announced her endorsement of Harris minutes after her first presidential debate against former President Donald Trump.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote on Instagram.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

Trump slammed Swift following the endorsement in increasing fury.
He first compared Swift to Brittany Mahomes, saying, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better.”
“If you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump told Fox News. “It was only a matter of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden. But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
The former president then escalated his feelings a few days later.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote on Truth Social in all caps.
