Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon became the victim of the dreaded hip-drop tackle.

 

 

 

 

 

During the third quarter of the Sunday night game between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears, Mixon injured his ankle on a play that has been banned.

Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards had a classic hip drop tackle, injuring Texans running back Joe Mixon on Sunday Night Football.

No flag was thrown.

Mixon’s ankle turned in a way that shouldn’t have as he got dragged down to the ground with 11:52 remaining in the third quarter.

 

 

 

 

Needless to say, fans were not happy about the no-call:

Bears linebacker T.J. Edwards can expect his fine letter this week.

Luckily for everybody involved, the Texans running back was able to come back into this game and play.

Joe Mixon Had Game To Remember In First Contest With Texans

Joe Mixon’s first game as a Texans was one to remember last week.

Mixon rumbled for 159 yards on 30 carries in Sunday’s road win at Indianapolis.

The veteran running back is exactly what CJ Stroud needs after he was traded to the Texans from Cincinnati this offseason.
