Aside from his hair, the Raiders received some good news after the team hit the practice field for game-week preparations for the season opener against the Chargers. Top pick tight end Brock Bowers was also there with them.
“He’ll be at practice,” Pierce said of Bowers prior to practice Wednesday.
This was outstanding news since Bowers had been missing from practice the past couple of weeks, and there was some concern about whether he would be back and ready in time for the season opener.

Will Brock Bowers Play In The Season Opener?
Rookie first-round draft pick tight end Brock Bowers did not play a single game in the preseason for the Las Vegas Raiders due to a foot injury.
He had been trending towards not playing in the season opener.
Head coach Antonio Pierce made it clear that he feels good about Bowers playing in Week 1.
“Yeah, I feel really good about that, to be honest,” Pierce said per the Coachspeak Index. “Just again, I’m going to go back to protecting the young guy. Sometimes you get in the league, you have got to be smart and sometimes you have got to protect them from themselves. So, that’s all it is.”
