Johhny tragically leaves his wife and two children behind, while Matthew leaves his wife, who is pregnant with their first child.

Matthew’s wife, Madeline, will no longer have her child’s father there to support her, and their child will never know their father. However, in a moment that shows the faithful generosity of others, GoFundMe started to help Madeline.

According to the site, the original goal of the fundraiser was to raise $30,000 for Madeline and their child Tripp to ” help alleviate some of the financial burdens they now face. ” It has already received 5,500 donations, totaling over $380,000.

With all proceeds going to Madeline to help pay for Matthew’s funeral and Baby Tripp, the fundraiser absolutely shattered the goal and has now provided Madeline with some security during this difficult time.
