Since his college career with the USC Trojans, Bronny James has faced considerable criticism due to the impressive career of his father, LeBron James. This scrutiny made Bronny’s selection in this year’s draft one of the most debated and controversial picks.

Despite the backlash, LeBron James has consistently shown unwavering support for his eldest son. Recently, the Lakers legend posted a throwback video on Instagram of Bronny playing at Sierra Canyon High School against the Crespi Carmelites to highlight his son’s achievements in front of a hostile crowd.

Fans also praised Bronny, who has been a frequent target of social media trolls since being drafted by the LA Lakers.

“Bronny is really tuff but people be hating for no reason”, one fan wrote in comments.

Chills every time,” another fan wrote.

“Let your work speak for you!” another fan added in comments.

“Bronny got bunnies,” a fan commented.

Bronny had a solid high school basketball career before he suffered a cardiac arrest ahead of his start with USC. In his final high school season, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

After his draft selection, critics further scrutinized Bronny’s underwhelming performance in the Summer League. The Lakers rookie averaged just seven points per game and shot 32.7 percent from the field.

Jeanie Buss Shows Strong Support for Bronny James

LeBron James isn’t the only one showing faith in his son, Bronny James. Jeanie Buss, president of the Lakers, recently expressed her confidence in Bronny’s potential during an interview with AM 570 LA Sports.

We have to let the kid have an opportunity to play and prove that he should be in a Laker uniform,” Buss said.

Everything that we’ve seen from him and about him and his work ethic, and just some of the things that he’s had to overcome, being the son of a big star, he works hard, he’s dedicated, and he really wants to do this. If we can have a roster of players with that same mentality, then I think the sky is the limit,” she added.

With the backing of prominent figures like Jeanie Buss, it will be interesting to see how Bronny can convert this confidence into his performance on the court.
