Aaron Rodgers is an open book. He is not afraid to speak about anything and does not care about the backlash.

This week, the New York Jets quarterback is explaining why he gave an interview on a Milwaukee radio station in 2013 to discuss questions about his sexuality.

Back in 2013, Aaron Rodgers was forced to address his sexuality during a live radio interview to put to rest claims that he was gay.

The legendary Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback is the subject of a biography by Ian O’Connor, but he has not signed off on it and has made it clear that not everything will be accurate.

“He did a lot of research,” said the four-time NFL MVP.

“It has nothing to do with me. But he did a lot of research on his own. He’s done other books with other famous people in sports. I think he reached out to 500 people and talked to maybe half those people.”

Years before Aaron Rodgers had a weekly spot on “The Pat McAfee Show”, Rodgers used to do a “Tuesdays With Aaron” segment with Jason Wilde on ESPN Milwaukee.

Around that time were rumors about him being gay.

In the new book by former Post columnist Ian O’Connor, “Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers “, the quarterback shed some light as to why he decided to speak up.

During that radio spot, Rodgers was talking about the downsides of being a celebrity and the “crazy rumors that swirl around from time to time that get silly.”

Wilde said, “I have no idea what you could be referring to.”

After a pause, he finally asked: “Oh, you mean the Aaron Rodgers–is-gay story?”

Aaron Rodgers then confirmed that he was referring to that.

“So, you’re aware?” Wilde asked. “You saw this out there?”

Rodgers answered, “Yeah, I’m just going to say, I’m not gay. I really, really like women. That’s all I can say about that. There’s always going to be silly stuff out there in the media, and you can’t worry too much about [it], and I don’t. … I think there should be, professional is professional and personal is personal. And that’s just how I’m going to keep it.”

In the book, Rodgers opened up about why he responded to the rumor.

“I think I was upset at the framing [of the rumor] because it was meant to shame the idea of being gay, and I have so many friends that are gay in the community,” Rodgers told O’Connor, via the New York Post. “And right before that, [Wilde] and I actually have talked about this multiple times, and I said, ‘I want to go after them, the people saying this.’ Not in relation to me, because I could give a shit what they thought about me, but that they’re using this to shame like it’s a bad thing to be gay. Like it’s a negative.

“That’s what I wanted to go after. And [Wilde] said, ‘You should just let it go and just say no.’ I wish I had done the former because that’s how I really felt. I’m like, say anything you want about me, but do you understand these people are using this to shame the idea of being gay? That’s just disrespectful to all my friends who are in the community who don’t believe that it’s a choice. They were making it seem like you’re shaming people for being gay, when a lot of them, if you ask them, they didn’t ask for this life. ‘This is who I am.’ So, I wished I would have handled it that way, and I don’t blame Jason. We’ve talked it out.”

Aaron Rodgers’ Ex-Girlfriend Olivia Munn Hinted One of Her Former Boyfriends Was A Closeted Gay Man

Many people might forget but actress Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers were once a couple.

Rodgers began dating Munn in 2014 after reportedly meeting at the ACM Awards.

By 2016, the couple had become the subject of engagement rumors, but then a few months later, their relationship would run its course, and they would break up.

Years later, Munn would hint that one of her former boyfriends was ‘the worst at having sex’ and was also a closeted gay man.

She stated this during an appearance on Whitney Cummings’ “Good for You” podcast.

She said he defended himself by saying, “Well, I just haven’t had a lot of, you know, experience doing it.”

Munn added the unnamed boyfriend preferred “lights out” and “spooning from behind,” which were moves that had her wondering he preferred sex with men.

“So, it’s like you don’t have to see my face, you have to see that it’s a girl,” Munn said. She said she later “got evidence about something, and then I put the other pieces together. I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what all that (was).’”

Munn’s comments have led fans to wonder which ex-boyfriend she’s talking about but she has never revealed who it was.
