Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was working over the weekend as he was in the commentary booth for the Week 2 preseason game between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints when he decided to bring up Lamar Jackson.

He surely made some headlines for himself with the comments he had about Jackson.

Charissa Thompson, who was on call with him, stated that the Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to make history by winning a third-straight Super Bowl and asking Edelman if he thought they would get it done.

Edelman made it clear that he would never bet against the Chiefs again, mentioning that it wasn’t about them because everyone knew what the Chiefs could and would do.

He added that it is up to everyone else, like Joe Burrow, who he says needs to stay healthy and get off to a fast start.

He then brought up Lamar Jackson, who he said has been missing when the playoffs come around.

“Lamar Jackson, who’s been on a milk carton in the playoffs. He’s missing.”

At the end of his rant, he made it clear that his money is on the Chiefs.

Lamar Jackson Has Under .500 Record In The Playoffs

Last year was supposed to be different for Lamar Jackson.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson picked up the second Most Valuable Player Award of his career last season, but once he got to the playoffs, he did what he was supposed to do and led the team to a divisional win over the Houston Texans.

However, once the Kansas City Chiefs came to town, Jackson looked like a different quarterback.

They had a season-low 81 rush yards, and Lamar Jackson finished with 326 total yards and two interceptions, per ESPN.

The team could only muster up 10 points all game long.

Jackson fell to 2-4 in the playoffs.
