REPORT: Shocking New Details Emerge On Minnesota Vikings Star WR Jordan Addison’s Likely Suspension & Future With The Team
Jordan Addison’s tenure with the Minnesota Vikings could be nearing its end.
Two weeks ago, police arrested Jordan Addison for suspicion of driving under the influence outside the Los Angeles International Airport. This came a year after a Minnesota state trooper cited Addison for speeding and reckless driving.
Given the severity of the offense, and the fact it’s his second driving-related violation in just one year, Addison is expected to be suspended by the league. And according to a new report, Addison may even be on borrowed time in Minnesota.
According to a report from Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Addison is “likely” to receive a three-game suspension for his DUI arrest. Not only that, but Walter added 2024 could be Addison’s final year in the Gopher State:
“It’s likely that Addison’s latest transgression will result in a three-game suspension without pay. That would cost him, based on the way his contract is structured, about $177,000, half the price of a Rolls-Royce.
Addison has proven unreliable, and it wouldn’t be surprising if this is his last season in Minnesota.”

The 22-year-old Jordan Addison was drafted 23rd overall by the Vikings last year, after the team released longtime fan favorite Adam Thielen. Addison emerged as a quality No. 2 wideout to superstar Justin Jefferson, finishing with 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns (tied with Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta for most among rookies).
Addison’s breakout year was one of the few positives for a Minnesota team whose playoff hopes faded following Kirk Cousins’ season-ending Achilles tear in a game against the Green Bay Packers.
Among all 2023 rookies, only Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua and Rashee Rice of the Kansas City Chiefs had more receiving yards than Addison. The latter and Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta finished
Jordan Addison Has To Show He’s Learned From Mistakes
If Addison wants to stay in Minnesota long-term, he’s going to have to show that he has learned from his mistakes. There is zero excuse for drunk driving, and Addison is fortunate to have not been involved in a serious accident.
Addison is supposed to be a key part of the Vikings’ long-term future, but it will depend on how he responds to his suspicion of DUI arrest.
