Taylor Swift donation to Irish charity will help struggling families ‘afford essential food supplies’
A poverty charity in Dublin has received a large donation from Taylor Swift which will help families who struggle to afford essential food supplies.
Following three nights of the Era’s tour in the Aviva Stadium at the end of June, it was revealed that Taylor Swift donated at least €25,000 to a charity in Dublin.
The Miss Americana star is known for being charitable as she frequently donates significant amounts to important causes in the cities she performs in.
Prior to Dublin, it was revealed that food banks in Liverpool and Cardiff received donations from the singer following her concerts, with one claiming her gift would fund food donations for the next 12 months
Today, Crosscare, which provides support to families in need, said: “Thank you Tay Tay!”
“We are delighted to confirm that Taylor Swift has donated to Crosscare food poverty services following her incredible concerts in Dublin,” they said.
“We work with hundreds of families with children who struggle to provide good food every week.
“We provide them with essential food supplies, help them get back on their feet, and help them find a way to support themselves independently in the long term.
“Taylor’s donation will enhance our ability to assist even more families in need in the coming months. Thank you Tay Tay!”
