UPS Cargo Jet Crash Takes The Lives of Many People

At least nine people are dead, and more are injured after a UPS plane crashed Tuesday as it was departing Louisville, Kentucky.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed this news at a news conference on Wednesday while adding that the number of people to die might climb.
“I’m now fairly confident that that number will grow by at least one,” Beshear said. “We hope it doesn’t grow by too many more.”
“There have been over 200 first responders that were on the scene last night, and there is a significant amount of resources in the search and rescue and, ultimately, what is by now the recovery effort that is occurring,” Beshear added.
He further relayed that by the afternoon, he believes they will have a good grasp on the number of fatalities and the number of missing persons.
He has also declared a state of emergency to enable the state to mobilize resources quickly. Beshaear also launched the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund, with every dollar being donated to those impacted, for funerals, response, recovery, and rebuilding.
