The whole world was shocked by the turn of events at the Presidential rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday which left former U.S. President Donald Trump with a bleeding ear as he fell onto the ground just six minutes into his speech. An assassination attempt was made on his life with three bullets fired at him, one of which ended up injuring his ear before he ducked behind the podium to save himself.

Many of the prominent athletes have come in support of Trump and demanded strict action against the alleged shooter. One of which is the Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who spoke after a long time since his controversial commencement speech.

Butker went on his social media to share a four-word message regarding the assassination attempt on the former U.S. President in a public rally for his election campaign.

Pray for our country.

Fortunately, Trump didn’t endure any serious injury except his ear and was able to get back on his feet. As the Secret Service rushed towards him, he pumped a fist into the air, reflecting his strong spirit, and he sure earned a lot of respect for that. The FBI identified his shooter within proximity of 24 hours, after he was killed by a Secret Service sniper.

Harrison Butker fires back at Serena Williams over ESPY criticism

The Chiefs kicker made a boatload of headlines in the past few months because of his alleged sexist and controversial speech at a Catholic college graduation, where he asserted that women should embrace the role of homemakers rather than independent working women, which of course didn’t sit well with a majority of people.

One of whom was the tennis legend Serena Williams, who didn’t hold back from calling out Butker while hosting the ESPYs last week. As the kicker came across the brutal jab aimed at him, he hit back by issuing a statement to The Athletic.
