Jalen Carter Breaks His Silence, Reveals What Caused Him To Spit On Cowboys QB Dak Prescott [VIDEO]

It took six seconds for Jalen Carter to get ejected from the first game of the season. The Eagles’ defensive tackle was ejected before the first play for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys-Eagles saliva drama put yet another wrinkle in the storied rivalry between the two franchises.
Standing in the offensive huddle a few yards away, Prescott could be seen walking towards Carter and soon being met with spit coming at his chest. He pointed at Carter while looking at the ref, and then they decided to flag him and toss him from the game.
It wouldn’t have come as a shock if Carter decided to leave the stadium and duck postgame questions about his behavior, but that’s not what he did.
Jalen Carter stuck around to see his team come out victorious and so he could answer questions about why he did that.
He told reporters he was “calm” in the moment but didn’t go too much into detail about what led to him spitting at Prescott.
“I was calm,” Carter said. “I walked off the field calmly. I was not mad. I really couldn’t do nothing else. The ref’s decision is the ref’s decision in this situation.”
Carter admitted he made a mistake while adding, “I feel bad for my teammates and the fans out there. I’m doing it for them.”
Dak Prescott Spits At Jalen Carter

During a break in play after Thursday’s opening kickoff, social media was still buzzing about Jalen Carter spitting at Dak Prescott.
More footage would soon surface that explained his behavior.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott spat in his general direction first before Carter confronted him about it.
Officials quickly called an unsportsmanlike penalty on Carter, ejecting him before he ever played a snap.
Unfortunately for Carter, they did not see what Prescott did to provoke him. Prescott said he simply spat straight ahead and not at anyone in particular.
Carter took it as disrespect and returned fire. Now, he may be facing another punishment from the league.
