Zoomed-In Slow-Motion Video Shows Eagles Player’s Leg Blowing Up In Horrific Fashion During Season Opener vs. Cowboys [VIDEO]

Ben VanSumeren’s season might be over after a mere six seconds into the new year.
The Philadelphia Eagles took a double blow within the first few seconds of the kickoff against the Cowboys. Jalen Carter and Ben VanSumeren left the game for very different reasons.
VanSumeren was ruled out for the remainder of Thursday’s contest against the Cowboys after suffering a knee injury.
In the midst of him lying down on the ground, Jalen Carter was busy spitting in the face of Dak Prescott and getting ejected.
While that was happening, Ben VanSumeren suffered an injury on the opening kickoff and had to be carted off the field.
The fullback may be facing a prolonged absence as footage showed his leg blowing up while pursuing a kick returner.
VanSumeren was expected to have a bigger role this season, both on special teams and on a few opportunities on offense.
Unfortunately, the plan will now be placed on hold as he and the team will await x-rays on hw badly damaged he is injured.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to work his way back sooner rather than later.
