An announcement will be made from the White House today amid rumors concerning Donald Trump‘s health.
While it remains unclear what the national address will concern, an official White House document states that the president will make an announcement from the Oval Office today.
The announcement is set to take place at 14:00 ET (19:00 BST), amid growing concern for Trump’s health.
U.S. citizens and others around the world have been asking where the president is, as the hashtag #whereistrump trended on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend.
But as the rumors spiralled, conspiracy theorists began to think that the president was no longer alive.
Trump had not been seen in public since last Tuesday, and, unusually, had no events scheduled over the weekend.

However, the rumor of his death was quashed yesterday morning (September 1), when he was seen playing golf with his granddaughter.
Trump even shared a statement in response to the speculation, insisting he is, in fact, very much alive.
On Sunday night (31 August), he penned on Truth Social: “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.”
But it hasn’t stopped people questioning if the republican leader is in good health.
Questions have been raised in recent months regarding the president’s well-being, after he was spotted on several occasions with a deep purple bruise on his hand.
It’s widely known that he suffers with a condition called chronic venous insufficiency, which causes ‘mild swelling’ in his lower legs.
But has been described as a ‘benign and common’ condition among elderly people, and there is no evidence of any serious arterial disease.
But amid the rumors, Vice President JD Vance made a bizarre comment – only adding fuel to the fire.

During an interview last week, Vance said he’s ‘very confident’ that Trump will serve his full term as president.
“The president is in incredibly good health,” he told USA Today. “He’s got incredible energy.”
But noted that he was ready to step up in the case of a ‘terrible tragedy.’
Leading up the announcement later today, speculation has spread about what the president might have to say.
Some users on X also noted that all roads leading towards the Walter Reed hospital are currently closed, and have been since last night.
Amid the health concern rumors, Trump’s former physician, Ronny Jackson, also released a statement.
It read: “As President Trump’s former personal physician, former physician to the president, and White House physician for 14 years across three administrations, I can tell you unequivocally: President Donald J. Trump is the healthiest president this nation has ever seen.”
Some have questioned whether the announcement may be that the president is stepping down from his role, but others have furiously defended him.
The White House has maintained that Trump is in ‘excellent health,’ but it seems that the world is waiting with baited breath to see what the president really has to say.
