She was taught to play the guitar by a right-handed musician, and she holds her guitar and writes as a right-handed person. She also eats and drinks with her right hand.
Most of those things remained true until this month.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, Aug. 26
On Thursday, the pop megastar was spotted alongside her fiancé at the college football match-up between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Arrowhead Stadium.
Taylor Swift showed up in style, wearing a white sweater vest, light-wash pleated denim mini skirt, and knee-high off white boots. She also had on her engagement ring.
At one point during the game, she took a sip of her drink with her left hand.
Social media took notice.
“And suddenly Taylor Swift is left-handed,” one fan said.
“The way she’s become left-handed all of a sudden 😭😭,” a second person wrote.
“No, but she’s so funny, acting like she’s suddenly left-handed to show off the ring. God, I love her so bad,” a third person commented.
“Taylor’s been left-handed this whole time, you just haven’t been paying attention,” a fourth person added.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their first post-engagement appearance at a college football game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift wore her new engagement ring, a pleated baby blue denim miniskirt by Balenciaga, a white cable knit v-neck vest by Ralph Lauren, and nude knee-high boots by Louis Vuitton.
Swift’s engagement ring was designed by Kindred Lubeck, a jewelry designer and founder of Artifex Fine Jewelry based in New York City.
Jared Jewelers told CNBC through a written statement that the ring could cost approximately $250,000 to $500,000.
“It looks to be upwards of 10 carats, and it might be a vintage stone given the cut,” Paul Zimnisky, a New York-based diamond industry analyst, further added to the publication in an email.
“Given the quality of the diamond and the size, it could easily be worth hundreds of thousands.”
