Taylor Swift wears her own merch to announce ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ album on ‘New Heights’
It’s a new era for “New Heights.”
Taylor Swift is finally set to make an appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, which he shares with brother Jason, on Wednesday. In a flirty teaser clip, she was seen sitting side by side with her beau wearing a familiar-looking outfit.
The pop star sported a ran pleated Sandy Liang skort ($625) with a Panthère de Cartier necklace ($11,400) and a diamond-studded Santos Demoiselle watch from the same jewelry house.
Her shirt, however, was much more affordable — and meaningful. Swift, 35, wore her own merch: a $50 “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” poplin button-up featuring seagulls on the back.
The $50 shirt was released last month and features a subtle stripe pattern and a seagull print on the back.Taylor Swift
And it appears the combination is now a go-to for Swift; last month, she wore the exact same outfit while on a lunch date with Kelce in Ohio. For that outing, she pulled her hair into a ponytail, but she wore it loose for the podcast episode, which will be released in full on Wednesday night.
The pop star used her “New Heights” debut an an opportunity to announce the name of her next album: “The Life of a Showgirl.”
In addition to teasing the color scheme — a glittering orange — she’s begun dropping clues about what to expect musically, with mysterious billboards popping up in Nashville and New York City and a curated playlist seemingly indicating the sonic direction of Swift’s forthcoming 12th LP.
Fans went wild with speculation when the podcast’s social media page shared an image on Monday featuring a mystery guest’s silhouette that appeared to match the “Cruel Summer” singer’s.
There were other clues, too, including Jason Kelce’s shirt — Eras Tour merch plastered with a portrait of the pop star — and the teaser’s glittery orange background, which differs from the show’s typical yellow color palette and matches up with the hue Swift’s been teasing in various posts hinting at her next era.
