BREAKING: Senator Mark Kelly unleashes an epic takedown after Elon Musk accuses him of being a “traitor” for visiting Ukraine — says that the MAGA oligarch’s only “oath” is to his “pocketbook.”
Only one of these two is a real American and sure isn’t the DOGE conman…
“When I was twenty-two years old before getting sworn into the Navy or as I was getting sworn into the United States Navy, I swore an oath to our Constitution to protect and defend the Constitution,” Kelly said during an appearance on MSNBC.
“I have lived that oath my entire life. I flew in combat in the first Gulf War. I served in the United States Navy for twenty-five years,” he continued. “I spent fifteen years at NASA, risking my life flying the space shuttle.”
“And the only oath I can think of that maybe Elon Musk has sworn is an oath to his own checking account, to his pocketbook, an oath, maybe, to ruining the lives of veterans,” he went on.
“I had veterans in my office last week who, after really good performance reports, found out that Elon Musk fired them for poor performance,” said Kelly. “He has ruined these people’s lives. They were serving our country again in very valuable roles, and they did not deserve to get fired by an email from an unelected billionaire.”
“So I think Elon needs to go back to making rockets. You know that’s what he should focus on. He shouldn’t be focused on this slash and burn of the federal government,” he added.
“And by the way, he’s doing it for one reason. He’s doing this so they create a little space so the big giant tax cuts that they’re going to give for millionaires and billionaires do not look as bad, does not add as much to the debt and deficit,” Kelly explained.
“And the ways he’s going to do it is he’s firing people and then on top of that he’s going to cut healthcare for kids, kids that — a third of people that get their healthcare from Medicaid are children and he’s going to cut healthcare for seniors — all to give this big tax cut so I would prefer if Elon went back to his old job at SpaceX and Tesla,” concluded Kelly.
The feud started yesterday when Kelly shared an image of himself in Ukraine along with the caption—
“Just left Ukraine. What I saw proved to me we can’t give up on the Ukrainian people. Everyone wants this war to end, but any agreement has to protect Ukraine’s security and can’t be a giveaway to Putin. Let me tell you about my trip and why it’s important we stand with Ukraine.”
Kelly went on to affirm that Russia started the war by invading. He praised American aid to Ukraine under the Biden administration as a key reason why Kyiv has not fallen to Putin.
“Donald Trump is trying to weaken Ukraine’s hand and we are owed an explanation. If Putin gains ground he won’t agree to a ceasefire and will eventually threaten a NATO ally and this puts American troops and the American people at risk,” Kelly wrote.
Kelly’s remarks enraged Elon Musk, a vocal supporter of Donald Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine.
“You are a traitor,” Musk wrote in response to Kelly.
“Traitor?” wrote back. “Elon, if you don’t understand that defending freedom is a basic tenet of what makes America great and keeps us safe, maybe you should leave it to those of us who do.”
