Travis Kelce Spells Out Exactly What Made Him Fall in Love With Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce does kiss and tell when it comes his girlfriend of nearly one year, Taylor Swift. During an appearance on today’s Bussin’ With the Boys podcast episode, Kelce touched on his approach to talking about Swift in interviews and her traits that “won” him over in their early days of dating.
On discussing Swift in the media, he said, “Yeah, you want to keep things private but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything. Like that’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady so it’s like I’m proud of that so I’m not here trying to juggle how can I keep this under wraps. You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”
He acknowledged that the more invasive paparazzi attention has been the only difficult thing about dating someone with her level of fame: “I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it. It’s just when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get that.”
Of Swift herself though, Kelce spoke with warmth about how considerate she has been about letting him have his moments, such as taking the spotlight after winning the Super Bowl. “She’s very self-aware,” he said. “She understands situations like that. I think that’s why I started to really fall for her, was how genuine she is around friends, family. It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention, and she just keeps it so chill and so cool. And that’s what I can admire for sure.”
“The first game she came to against the Bears I was like, ‘I can probably set you up with everything.’ And she just walked right through the front door,” he said. “There’s no going down, talking to security, making sure she gets to her [spot]. She was like, ‘I just want to be around family and friends and experience this with everybody.’ She got beaucoup points for that. I was like, ’Damn, she’s in the madness. She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that.’ I was like, man, she really won me over with that one.”
He touched on her concerts too, calling them “electric.”
“She’s having fun up there,” he said. “So it’s like I can enjoy seeing her in her element, killing it onstage. I love the show. She has bangers.”
