Fans wonder if Taylor Swift will perform with Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LIX
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Kendrick Lamar is set to take the stage in New Orleans during halftime of Super Bowl LIX, and people are wondering who his guests will be.
This will be Lamar’s first solo performance at the Super Bowl, and it is the first time a solo rapper has headlined the halftime show. It is confirmed that SZA will join Lamar during halftime, but could America’s pop darling also be joining?
Taylor Swift is expected to be at the game no matter what to show support for Travis Kelce. Could she zipline from the suite to the big stage?
Swift and Lamar have a notable history of collaboration and mutual respect in the music industry.
One of the most significant collaborations between the two came in 2015 when Lamar was featured on a remix of Taylor Swift’s hit single “Bad Blood” on her album 1989.
“Bad Blood” was a number-one hit single that won a Grammy for Best Music Video and MTV Video Music Awards for Video of the Year and Best Collaboration.
Lamar re-recorded his verse on Bad Blood for the deluxe edition of Swift’s 2023 re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Swifties have posted to TikTok about how they would react if the pop star made her way to the Super Bowl stage.
Although it is unlikely she will make an appearance on stage – prop bet markets see it as a longshot – it’s safe to say people would go crazy if it did happen.
The Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
