American Airlines Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, should’ve landed safe and sound on Wednesday if not for an avoidable collision in the air.

The commercial passenger plane that collided with a Black Hawk chopper over the icy Potomac River in Washington, DC, was mere seconds away from landing when it was clipped and split in half in the air.

Now, we are seeing new footage that shows this entire event could’ve been avoided.

New footage shows just how much time the Black Hawk helicopter had before everything went terribly wrong.

There Were No Survivors Between the American Airlines Flight And Black Hawk Helicopter

Following the nation’s first major commercial airline crash since 2009, it was announced that no one survived.

About 40 bodies have been recovered, while others will need to be extracted from the wreckage once it is lifted to the surface of the river.
